Free report: Investing In Private Equity

For very experienced investors only

All over the world, companies are staying private for longer. Many innovative young firms are now waiting before deciding whether to IPO. Some are choosing to stay private indefinitely. Meanwhile, big established and profitable companies are increasingly being taken from public to private hands, in order to turn them around and make them more valuable.

As a result, many of the best businesses are no longer available via stock markets. Out of around 159,000 firms worldwide with revenues over $100 million, a mere 19,000 (12%) are publicly listed. The rest (88%) are privately owned.

How can UK investors access this asset class? Until recently, private equity funds were the preserve of institutional investors, ultra high net worth individuals and family offices. A combination of high minimum investments and long capital lock-up periods meant private equity funds were effectively off limits to individual investors.

This is now changing. Thanks to new, more flexible fund structures, it’s now possible for qualifying individual investors to get exposure to private equity from as little as £10,000 minimum investment.

Please note: investing in private equity is for those who can self-certify as high net worth or sophisticated investors. Private Equity is one of the least liquid assets and your capital is at risk. You should not invest money you cannot afford to lose. This free report is not advice or a personal recommendation – it simply explains the main facts, so you can decide for yourself.
